Sending a report
If something goes wrong, the game can put everything we need on your clipboard:
- Open Settings and go to the Gameplay page.
- Under SUPPORT, select COPY SUPPORT INFO.
- Paste it into an email, add a sentence about what happened, and send it to us.
Support address
support@terrainmask.comThe support info is a short text with your game version, system details and the recent log; it leaves out your user and computer name. Crash folders stay on your PC: the same page has OPEN SUPPORT FOLDER if we ask for one. Nothing is ever uploaded by the game.
Linux and Steam Deck
Terrain Mask is a Windows game. Through Steam's Proton compatibility layer it is expected to work on Linux and the Steam Deck, and we are testing it there. Until that testing is done we can't promise it, but we want to hear how it runs for you: send the support info (above) along with your distribution or Deck model.
Co-op
- Co-op is for two pilots: one hosts the mission or war sortie, a friend joins through Steam. The host's game runs the mission and sends it to the guest.
- There is no voice chat in the game; use Steam's or your own.
- A friend who joins in the first seconds of a lobby waits for the level to load.
- A guest earns the co-op achievements.
Flight sticks, HOTAS and pedals
The game reads flight controllers directly, without Steam Input or other mapping tools. The flight controller guide covers setup, remapping, axis tuning, the collective lever and troubleshooting.
Questions
When does it come out, and what will it cost?
The release date and the price have not been announced yet. They will appear on the Steam store page first.
Which theatres are in the base game?
The Strait of Hormuz and Kharg Island. Florida Straits, Venezuela Coast, Korea East Coast, Baltic: Narva, Suwalki Gap and Taiwan Strait are theatre packs sold separately. A pack you don't own is shown in the menu, dimmed.
Does my progress sync between PCs?
Campaign progress is saved with Steam Cloud. Settings and control bindings stay on each PC, because controllers and screens differ between machines.
Which languages are supported?
English, for the interface and subtitles.
Is there any tracking or telemetry?
No. The game keeps a local support log and crash folder on your PC; nothing is uploaded unless you send it to us yourself.
Is it a realistic simulation?
No. The helicopters fly with assisted, expert and arcade flight models, and weapon, sensor and AI values are tuned for play. The ground is real; the forces are fictional.
